Baseball Plus 2010 Summer Camp Information

• Required for all campers: General Health Record Form
  
• For campers taking medications: Medication Authorization Form
  

East Ridge Middle School:

• Camp begins at 8:30am on Mondays** and 9:00am Tuesday thru Friday.
  
• ½ Day Dismissal: 1:00 PM
• Full Day Dismissal: 4:00PM
• ** Please arrive 8:30 on Monday to check- in with staff and receive division/team assignments
• Directions to East Ridge Middle School

Camp Day:

• 9:00 am - Morning Meeting: Key Word, Tip of the Day, Team Standings.
  Morning meeting is an important part of the day, please be on time!
  
• Skills: Position Fundamentals and Drills
• Snack
• League Games
• 1:00pm - ½ Day Camper Dismissal, Lunch
• Pre Game Batting and Fielding Practice
• Afternoon Games
• 4:00pm - Full Day Camper Dismissal
  

SNACKS AND LUNCHES:

Snacks and lunches must be packed in a zip lock bag, clearly marked with your child’s name. All campers should bring a morning snack and full day campers should also bring lunch. Snacks and lunches will be kept in a cooler until the appropriate time. We ask that campers not bring soda or candy to camp.
(Please note The State of Connecticut Department of Health requires us to keep all snacks and lunches in a temperature controlled cooler. Small coolers and cooler bags are too bulky to fit into our coolers – please use zip lock bags!! )

EQUIPMENT LIST:

Please label all clothing and equipment with your child’s name.All campers should wear/bring the following equipment to camp:

• Please bring a hat to camp on Monday morning!! Campers will receive team hats and team tee shirts on the second day of camp.
• Baseball glove
• Cleats, sneakers, turf shoes
• Baseball pants or athletic pants. (no shorts!!)
• Protective athletic cups are required for boys nine years old and over.
• Personal bats may be brought to camp but are not necessary.
• Personal helmets may be brought to camp but are not necessary.
• Sun block - By State Regulation, we are not allowed to apply or provide sun block. Please apply before camp if desired.
• Insect Repellent – By State Regulation, we are not allowed to apply or provide insect repellent. Please apply before camp if desired.

RAIN: If the weather is questionable in the morning, please call (203) 438-4131 and/or check your email, to find out if camp will be held at the fields or inside at Baseball Plus, 88 Sugar Hollow Rd., Danbury. (Rte. 7). If it starts to rain during a camp day, your child may be transported from the fields at East Ridge Middle School to Baseball Plus- pickup would then be at Baseball Plus. Please call us or check your email to find out if camp has been moved inside.
