A former scout with the Milwaukee Brewers, Joe opened his first Baseball Academy in 1984 and has over twenty five years of experience teaching baseball fundamentals to players of all levels. Joe Espinosa has run baseball camps in New York City, Nyack, NY, Oneonta, NY, Elmsford, NY, Miami, FL, and Ridgefield, CT.

He is the owner of and Head Instructor at Baseball Plus, a certified Mike Epstein Hitting Instructor, and is proud to have been mentored by pitching expert Bill Thurston.

MIKE EPSTEIN is one of America's top hitting analysts, instructors, speakers, and published writers. His uncanny ability to simplify the complexities of the baseball swing has thrust him to the forefront of America's hitting coaches. The Collegiate Baseball News calls Mike "baseball's hitting guru."


Mike played for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, Oakland A’s, Texas Rangers, and California Angels from 1966 through 1974. He broke a Senators’ record for lefties by hitting 30 homeruns in 1969, winning the American League's prestigious Player Win Average Award. Mike has personally trained the Baseball Plus staff in his teaching methods. Baseball Plus is an Epstein Certified Facility

BILL THURSTON, head coach of the Amherst College baseball program since 1966 and the winningest coach in any sport in school history, has led the Jeffs to a staggering 751 victoriesover the last 41 seasons.

Thurston is widely known and respected as a baseball clinician, lecturer, and writer and has conducted baseball clinics in over 25 states and five Canadian provinces. His book,An Instructional Manual for Pitchers and Pitching Coaches, and pitching videos, stress proper pitching mechanics, video analysis of the pitching motion, proper care of the pitching arm and prevention of arm injuries.

ED LOVELACE After an All American high school career, Ed Lovelace attended Arizona State University where he was recruited by Carl Lewis' coach Clyde Duncan. At ASU he trained with world renowned coaches Norm Tate and Dr. Leroy Walker, was named All American in his Senior year, andqualified for Olympic trials in 1988 and 1992 at 200 meters. Ed is partner in the Phewsioneering! training practice specializing in improving the speed of athletes from any skill sport through physics, physiology, strength and agility. Ed occasionally holds special workshops at Baseball Plus and Phewsioneering drills are incorporated in our programs.

CESAR PRESBOTT has worked as an area scout for the Yankees for the last 14 years. He left the Yankees to work for the Major League scouting bureau from 1986 to 1991 and worked as an area scout and scout in the Dominican for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1991-1992. Presbott rejoined the Yanks in 1993 and has been traveling to ballparks from Delaware to Westchester in search of the next great Yankee ever since. Cesar occasionally participates in workouts at Baseball Plus.
